Euler's Disc
Euler, Swiss polymath, studied this phenomenon. It's little more than a spinning penny coming to rest on a tabletop. Using better materials makes for a visual spectacle! It even has its own wiki page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euler's_Disk
