Hot air vs Cold air volume and pressure
By Elina Pirastehfar: Temperature and pressure are directly proportional. Meaning that when the temperature rises so does the volume or pressure. When the water in the bottle is hot, it exerts a lot of pressure. However, as it cools down and the water vapor condenses back into water droplets, the inside pressure decreases. As it cools, the pressure on the outside of the bottle is greater than the pressure inside the bottle. This creates a vacuum. causing air to push into the bottle from the outside. sucking the balloon inside the bottle.
